Consulting

My background is in Bayesian statistics and statistical computing.

I joined the Statistical Consulting Centre in July 2022.

I have worked on projects in a diverse array of subject areas, including medicine, agriculture, engineering, and education. My approach to consulting involves close collaboration with clients, to understand their problems and choose the appropriate analyses for their projects.

I have a GStat accreditation from the Statistical Society of Australia.

Examples

Some examples of my consulting work include:

  • An analysis of data collected from agricultural experiments investigating the effects of silicon treatments on harvest traits.
  • A statistical review of supratherapeutic recruitment rates in the validation of a new biomedical device.
  • Analysis and reporting of quarantine seizures at Australian Airports.

Research

I completed my PhD in Mathematics and Statistics at Monash University in 2020, under the supervision of Associate Professor Jonathan Keith and Associate Professor Tim Garoni. My dissertation, titled "Bayesian Adaptive Independence Sampling with Latent Variables", focussed on a novel framework for adaptive Markov chain Monte Carlo.

Statistical consulting provides many and varied opportunities for research collaborations, you can see here:
