Here are some examples of my consulting work:

  • Propensity score matching to assess the impact of a high-acuity postoperative unit on patient outcomes
  • Survival analysis of workforce retention for the Department of Sustainability and Environment
  • Assistance with a submission to the Food and Drug Administration regarding the use of a medical monitoring device
  • Analysis of quantitative data for the evaluation of the RACGP education program

Research

I completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Applied Statistics at the University of Melbourne.  I received my PhD in 2010. The topic of my PhD thesis was the performance of multiple hypothesis testing procedures in the presence of dependence, supervised by Professor Peter Hall.

Statistical consulting provides many and varied opportunities for research collaborations. Many of my recent collaboartions are in surgery.

I have taught a range of courses and workshops for the University of Melbourne and the Statistical Consulting Centre, including short courses using R software.
